There are still a few places open for UFT retirees in the new Playwrighting course taught by prize-winning playwright, Milton Polsky.

The course is held on Fridays at 10AM at the UFT building @ 50 Broadway in Manhattan.

How About Improvisation? Another Course Recommendation

Milton Polsky, co-chair of the UFT Players, will also (see previous post) be teaching a course at the UFT starting in March.

Called "Improvisational Theatre," the class provides a warm, relaxed atmosphere for participants to create situations and scenes from their experiences and imagination in an enjoyable group context.

Dr. Polsky is the author of Let's Improvise, The Improv Workshop Handbook, and the forthcoming Retirees, Improvise and Energize! The class will be held on Fridays from 1-3PM. starting March 12. Always Wanted to Know More About Musical Theater?

Warren Wyss, co-chair of the UFT Players, will be teaching a course at the UFT starting in March.
Called "Broadway Babies", the class will be a survey of musical theater, from the eighteenth century to the twenty-first century. Warren will use audio tapes and CDs, as well as DVDs, videos to illustrate the colorful history of this genre and spark lively discussions. The class will be held on Mondays, 10:00-12:00, starting March 8. The 11-week course costs $5.00. Registration should be sent to the Si Beagle Learning Center in Manhattan.
