Congratulations Eleanor!

Eleanor Dennis, who serves on the Board of the UFT Players, has taken Second Place, Adult Category, in the Black History Poetry Contest sponsored by the Countee Cullen Branch Library in Harlem.

The poem is entitled, "What They Write is Written."

On February 22, Eleanor, along with the other winners, was honored at the beautiful Countee Cullen Library reception.

She plans to read her poem at the UFT Players Open Mike Poetry Event on April 30 at UFT Headquarters, 50 Broadway. As Eleanor remarks, "I was originally inspired by the poets of the Harlem Renaissance and am encouraged to continue in that spirit."
